Before we start the proceedings I would like to convey the couple’s wishes and instructions to you today, and they are that we are here to celebrate, therefore you are allowed to laugh at any time, applaud when you feel the urge to do so (or when instructed to do so by myself) and even a cry if you feel the need The couple wish to have a fun and memorable ceremony in the company of you, those who are very special to them.

  • A funny story about your journey together
  • Anything that defines you as a couple

Celebrant - Tim Manger

We are here to share the marriage of two special friends. More than a ceremony, this is a significant moment of celebration and personal commitment. The essence of this commitment is the taking of another person in their entirety, as a companion and friend. It is therefore a decision which is not entered into lightly, but with great consideration and respect.

From this day forward you will become closer than ever before. You will promise to love one another in sickness and in health, for better and for worse, but at the same time your love for each other will give you the strength to stand apart to seek your unique destinies and goals. The nature of love is unselfish, understanding, kind and ongoing, as long as it continues to be nurtured.

[ Readings ]

This is where you will invite any guests who wish to perform a reading. I have a selection of readings, or you may choose to use your own

[ Monitum ]

_______ and _______, before you are joined in marriage in my presence, and in the presence of these witnesses, your family and friends, I must remind you of the solemn and binding nature of the relationship that you are about to enter. Marriage, according to law in Australia, is the union of a man and a woman to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered into for life.

[Face each other and hold hands]

[ The Asking ]
