The Couple with Counselor Course costs $120 per session for six sessions bringing the total cost to $600.00 AUD. The advantage of this two to one, face-to-face course is that you have the entire attention and interaction of the experienced counselor.

As a consequence the value of the course to you is increased includes all material, and certificate on completion, plus the offer of the counsellor to act as a relationship coach in the future to help you handle any issues, problems or conflicts that may arise in your future marriage or relationship. This may be a free short telephone consultation or a paid appointment with the counsellor at your convenience if the presenting problem needs more intensive counselling.

Group session with group leader is another option. This option depends on the ability to form a group of at least five couples. Again this offer includes the interaction of the group leader. It is presented over a six hour grouping of six sessions, usually on the one day. The group leader will also offer to act as a relationship coach in the future to help you handle any issues, problems or conflicts that may arise in your future marriage or relationship.

What if I have second thoughts before I walk down the aisle?

Related to Relationships

This is a relatively common issue, and often has more to do with nerves and fear of the day that is about to unfold. If you are seriously having second thoughts, I advise seeking the services of a marriage counsellor.

What should I do if I think that one of my guests may cause a scene at my ceremony?

Related to Relationships

As a Celebrant I have had to manage a range of complex issues during marriage ceremonies. Often, the idea that a guest may make a scene, is the bride or groom projecting his or her own stresses and tensions in the lead-up to the big moment. Wayward are also generally corralled (or calmed) by your many other guests, the bridal party, the Celebrant or the function or venue staff.

Should I still get married if my parnter and I have had a major disagreement in the week leading up to our wedding?

Related to Relationships

Quite often, the pressure and anticipation of an impending wedding ceremony can be overwhelming for couples. It is very easy to mistake frustration, nerves, stress and tension for a partner that appears not to care.

Can I walk down the Aisle if I am Pregnant?

Related to Relationships

Yes. The notion that woman is not allowed to get pregnant prior to her wedding day is an old (non-secular based) belief. Since many couples live together prior to marriage, the application of outdated laws often confuse modern notions.

Is it normal for my partner to take no interest in the planning of our wedding?

Related to Relationships

Yes, in fact it is very common for only one partner to do the majority of the planning. In most cases this is obviously the female, since males feel either inadequate in the planning area, or intimidated and overwhelmed by the foreign nature of services that need to be researched and shopped for.

What should I do if I am having second thoughts about getting married?

Related to Relationships

It is common for brides (and grooms) to feel nervous or anxious prior to their wedding ceremony. In many cases the feeling of 'wanting to run away' dissipates after the ceremony. However, my best advice would be to seek the opinion of a Marriage or Relationship Counsellor.
